LOVE, LOVE LOVE!!

Valentine's is ONE day away....eeekk!!! February is one of my favorite months because its the month of Love. You can totally get away with decorating your house with "XOXO", heart banners and "be mine" pillows all month long. Want to know what else is totally acceptable? All the sweet baked goods are totally on point this month and ready for you to eat! By February, most people have eaten healthy enough that they just want a real treat and Valentine's Day is just the time to indulge. If you know me well, you know that I have a hard time turning down a baked good. With that said, February is my favorite month of Love and sweet treats!!!

With this cutesy holiday on my mind I started to think about traditions growing up and if any of you have any special traditions that you have kept up or maybe even started new ones?

My mom still sends Valentines card EVERY year- its very cute especially since this will be my son's first Valentines Day(his card is currently sitting on our mantel). Growing up, my brother and I woke up to cards on the counter and a box of our favorite candy. When we were really little my parents got us these cute little crystals that used to give off rainbows in the sun. We were fascinated by them and we knew to look forward to them every year.

Some people do think that this holiday is completely over-rated and that its just silly. We should love all year long, not just one day in February right? Well I do agree that we should love all year long, but the holiday is kinda cute and now that I have a child of my own I actually am a little bit more involved this year.

So what do we do? Well, we get take out and stay home! AND its the best. I wouldn't have it any other way. This girl likes a good dinner and a date night, but we don't feel the need to do it on a night that everyone is is doing it. Were rebels...LOL or were just homebodies. This year, I got Charlie a package of Valentines Day cards and we( meaning I) will fill them out today and give them to the grandmas and grandpas. Its cute, he's 10 months and were teaching him early that giving Valentines is fun and sweet! That's our traditions for now and I'd love to hear yours!! Give me a shout on here or via Instagram.

I am leaving you with a few of my favorite Valentines Day finds, which you can totally get away with all year long!! Links Below:

Until next week, have a fabulous V day and enjoy the love and sweets!!
