After 11 days off I am back to work...its bittersweet. I now wake up with intention instead of asking myself "what should I do today?". By Friday, I will be longing to have my vacation days back.
One of my favorite things during the New Year is the announcement of the Pantone Color of the Year!! Exciting stuff huh? As a designer, I look forward to this announcement so I can clearly give my opinion of the color and decide if I am going to be a follower or not. 2015's Color of the Year is Marsala, a warm cranberry that pulls depth and richness from burgundy hues.

Yay or Nay? I am voting Yay! Already seeing this color everywhere, especially in fashion. Just the other day I received one of my bi-weekly Stitch Fix shipments (www.stitchfix.com) and lone behold, two Marsala Pieces! So I bought them:)
Fashion and Interiors go hand in hand.What you see on the racks is a good cue as to what colors are on trend in the home. Loving this playful, yet stylish and sophisticated color! Now if I can just get my hands on some Marsala Yoga pants I will dialed in for the year:)
