Hey, Hey!
Well hello there! Its been awhile hasn't it? I took a small blogging hiatus strictly because of time constraints, but I am back!
A lot of things going on at Ashley Grech Design and ALWAYS on the home front. My little's are keeping me busy and keeping me young. Charlie is talking up a storm and we can finally figure out what he is saying these days. It was a total different language for awhile, but he clearly knew exactly what he was talking about! Ave is growing so fast and I wish I could freeze time. She is the happiest baby, always smiling, down to cuddle, likes to hold hands, loves watching her brother and melting mommy and daddy's hearts daily.
If you are new to my blog, welcome! ( hands clapping). If your and oldie-but-goody, thanks for always reading, following and enjoying my posts!
So whats new? A LOT.
Cabin project is going strong- Fi-nal-ly! Once we got smart and stopped hiring people up in the mountains, things began to speed up. We now have a working kitchen and a floor for little feet to run around safely on. Pictures to come!
In my past posts, I talked about the day that I could put my feet up and have a glass of wine in that place- it finally happened. Your probably wondering what it felt like after all the BS? It was glorious. And just as I closed my eyes to enjoy that glory- the baby woke up! Story of my life.
Whats next? We still have three bathrooms to update and an entire downstairs maze to make some sense out of. Stay tuned and follow on my Instagram for pics and stories.

I have a confession to make.
I have literally been trying to put a Gallery wall up at my house since before gallery walls were even cool. Long time right? So I gathered my "material", engagement/wedding photos, newborn sessions, family photos and decided to start this project at 10 pm, on a school night. Gah!
Honestly, I should have been sleeping because Ave was sleeping. You all know that fake energy you get, like you could pull an all-nighter and then be supermom the next day?
Ya, no. Its called fake energy for a reason. Anyhow, I was up until about 12:30 am ordering my gallery wall prints because I was determined to make this happen.
I searched high and low for the best pricing on framing, prints, matting and shipping. I tried Framebridge, Shutterfly and various other sites for package deals. At 12am, I still had nothing to show for. Three windows were open and my cart was loaded and ready for check-out. All I kept thinking about was,
A: These are NOT inexpensive.
B: Charlie knocking one of these off the wall and me trying to act like its NBD, but crying.
Still scratching my head, I went to my all time fave, Michaels. What do you know, Gallery frames on SALE for like $8.00. Yes, $8!! And I can have as many pictures of my kids as I want. I went back to Shutterfly, ordered all my 8 x 10 prints for under $30 dollars and BOOM they were on my doorstep in 4 days.
Picked up Frames from Michaels and put these bad boys together during the day, while children were awake. Its possible! Whole project cost under $100 dollars and I was about to spend 5 times that amount online. Now granted, I did have to do some work. I did have to put my own pictures in the frame- super easy. If you like to save $$$ and get the same look as others frames out there, this is an ideal Gallery Wall hack. Best of all, these frames are light weight and when Charlie does pull one off the wall, it will be no sweat to our walls, floors or his precious big head!
I used Shutterfly to order my 8x10 prints and Micheal's for the gallery frames. Target also had similar frames. I chose black, but they have white and a few wood tones.
Ta-Da!
