Well its Friday... Where the heck did the week go!
I seriously blinked and now its Friday. Cool right? Except that I have not stopped to take any breaths from last Friday..whoops. Ok, ok so I'd be dead if that was really the case, but basically I have been running all week and what I really want right now is a large bottle of wine, not a glass.
All good stuff happening over here! My sweet pea turned ONE on Monday and we had a little shin-dig for him last Sunday. Kid birthdays are exhausting and this was my first one!!! I contemplated not having a first birthday for him because lets be real- he doesn't know any different. Soon after my genius idea soaked in, so did my mom guilt. I met myself in the middle and threw the smallest birthday party I could get away with and it was still exhausting.
Since my weekend and Monday we filled with festivities, I high-tailed it up to Angels Camp Tuesday to check progress on some new houses I am working on and met with a new client, Ps. I share some progress photos on the gram and FB if you missed them. While up there, I figured I'd go look at my own project( The Cabin) and check dimensions because Ladies and Gentle man, we are SO, SO close to ordering kitchen cabinets and I cannot contain myself.
Wednesday I was a tied to my office all day and Thursday I was out with clients, but guess what??! I have some fun projects to share!
Here we go!!!
IN progress on a Master bathroom/Bedroom remodel and we are using Cement Tile shop for our bathroom floors. Here's a little sneak peak of where we are headed. Construction photos, Before and After's will be shared- don't you worry.

Another fun project I am working on is a Living Room & Guest bedroom. I wanted the share the design inspirations boards because a lot of work goes on behind the scenes. All the sourcing and prep for layout options is done prior to any selections being made and finalized. Its kinda funny how the inspiration boards starts as one look and then as the final design evolves it looks entirely different in the end. Sometimes that happens and sometimes the design boards are spot on. I like to keep it interesting!
One room at a time so the living comes first!
Loving the antiqued gold and brass accents these days. what are your thoughts? Love the trend, kinda into it or hate it - let me know!
I also really enjoy using transitional rugs! Transitional basically means it could go either way. The rug could be paired with modern furniture/design or traditional. In this case I have paired these transitional rugs with Modern decor.
Lets talk about Coffee tables for a minute. Rectangular, Round of Square? Whats your favorite or go-to option? I generally lean towards round or rectangular, but the more I look at Square I am kinda in love. The bigger the better for an occasional/social setting. If its a room that doesn't get used very often, then you are usually safe with a good ol' rectangle or a fabric/leather pouf of sort.
Always love hearing your feedback and/or thoughts on the designs! Stay tuned as the projects progress and I will keep sharing on social media!
Happy Weekend and Happy Designing!
xo,
Ash
