Oh Baby...again!

I cannot express how thrilled we are to be welcoming our second child in early September! Such a huge blessing and we are over the moon.

Charlie will be 17 months once baby arrives and I completely get that they will be very close in age- I am not worried about it one bit. I know that there are SO many women out there that struggle with fertility and conceiving in general, I am in that category. Comments like, "when are you having kids"? "Or when you having another one"? or "Oh wow your gonna have your hands full? They get annoying really fast. I get that I will have my hands full- I want my hands full. Guess what?! I might even do it again-HA! That's how much I love being a mom.

My husband usually reads my post, hes my biggest fan:) Hes either laughing or crying right now as I talk about a possible third with our second still brewing.

So I am half way through this pregnancy already and feeling great. Milkshakes are a fave, but really who doesn't like milkshakes?! I texted by best friend yesterday and told her I knew that this milkshake thing was becoming a problem once I started looking online, "How to make a healthier milkshake." #milkshakeproblems. So far, both pregnancies have been pretty similar and I've got nothing to complain about. Excited to meet this little babe and cant wait for Charlie to meet his brother or sister. Yes, that's right, round two of it being a surprise. No peeking here.

Along with my work projects, I will also share how were getting creative over here with room swamping and turning guest rooms into Guest room/office combos. Just when I feel like we may be running out of room, I start looking at a ways to re-purpose the rooms differently. Challenge
accepted!

In other news, the cabin construction is still plugging away! Behind the scenes, plumbing, gas, electrical is underway. Here are a few not so beautiful photos, but in order to make this kitchen functional this part needs to be completed and documented as "progress."

As you can see from the photos, the plumbing has been relocated to under the new window. Dishes? I'll gladly do them! You should see the view behind that plywood!

Gas line, water for the Refrigerator, and electrical for appliances/wall outlets have been started. Its not glamorous, but man I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. This will be the biggest kitchen I have ever called my own and cannot wait to cook, sip and enjoy in this space!!!
Crossing our fingers that our Cabin will be completed by baby's arrival. I could use a few days of R&R up in the trees with our family of FOUR:)

Stay tuned for more updates, project shares and of course,  Happy Designing!

xo,
Ash
